Vintage Western Airlines 50th Anniversary Coffee Cup, 4oz., ABCO Tableware 0447-

Vintage from the 1970s
Available are two Western Airlines 50th Anniversary porcelain coffee/tea cups celebrating 50 years of passenger service, 1926-1976.
The stamp underneath reads "Western Airlines ABCO Tableware 0447-15910 Japan". The logo on both cups are vibrant and clear as well as is the gold band just below the rim. When filled to the brim, they hold 6 ounces of liquid (3/4 cup) and measure 3" in diameter & 2 1/8" tall; both are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Founded in 1925 to operate mail routes for the US Postal Service, Western Airlines began passenger service from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles in April of 1926; this anniversary edition China celebrated those 50 years. As a side note, listings of items on other sites indicate this logo to be the 60th anniversary however Western Airlines merged with Delta in September 1986. It's my opinion that that they wouldn't go through this expense if merging talks were in the works beforehand. Input of more knowledgeable individuals would be greatly appreciated. :)
