Vintage Shirley Temple 13” Doll Musical Note Dress 1935. Tagged w/Pin. She is one of many from my 30+ years of collecting Shirley Temple memorabilia.
This is a beautiful Shirley. Her composition is in good condition but she does have crazing throughout.  It appears that someone may have concealed the
crazing
at some point in time.  Shirley has NO cracks in her compo and has all her fingers and toes.
Her hair is thick, full and curly, but it could use a combing. She has beautiful, clear sleep eyes and thick eyelashes, although she is missing some on her right eye.  Her stringing is good and she stands perfectly on the stand (which is included).
Shirley wears the Musical Note dress from the 1935 movie Our Little Girl . The dress is tagged with the older N.R.A. (National Recovery Administration) Ideal Tag with the eagle (which was discontinued in late 1935). The dress is crisp and beautiful, perfectly pleated and doesn’t appear to have ever been washed. It is slightly dirty around the collar. It has the typical 2-button closure in the back.  It has a small pinhole under the treble clef and 2 where the Ideal Pin was located.  Her onesie is also in good condition with one small tear near the left shoulder and has the typical safety pin closure. Her shoes and socks appear to be original.
She wears her original Ideal Shirley Temple Pin, which can be authenticated by the markings around the rim “Ideal Novelty & Toy Co” on the top, “Her Signature” on the bottom below her name and “Made in U.S.A” on the side.
She has been kept in a display case in my smoke-free home for many, many years. I am downsizing so it is time for her to go to a new home to be loved as I have loved her. She is marked on her head and torso.
