  • Condition: Frame is in good condition in front. It cleaned up, but still has some tarnish/effects of age. The corners of the glass has some chipping. The back section shows age, and the easel/stand is partially disconnected at the top and completely disconnected on the bottom. Please see photos

    Description

    Vintage Repousse Pewter Photo Frame Folk Dancing 8x6.25" Overall 5x3" Opening
    Frame appears to be made by hammering from the back and/ or front (
    called repoussé and chasing)
    . It also appears to be very old, but I do not know exact age.
    The design is ornate. At the bottom left is a group of people hanging around a barrel, and the middle and right have groups of people dancing. To the left, right, and top are trees and houses.
    Please review the condition description because the back section is damaged (easel/stand part). The easel part in the back is partially disconnected at the top and completely on the bottom. It will need to be replaced or repaired if you want it to be free-standing.
