Vintage Rare Beavertail Canoe Paddle W/Whipping Handle-Great Patina, Cabin Decor

Vintage rare and unique beavertail canoe paddle 59” with beautiful stained patina with so much character, in very good condition. The handle has cloth wound cord extending approximately 23”. I believe based on some research this is called whipping and there are several designs. I believe this one is called ring belt hitching. Makes for a wonderfully unique conversation piece. The whipping does not appear to be hiding any damage as the handle is very solid. It does show its age and has been used. No reason that you couldn’t continue using it, but I would use it as a special cabin or man cave decor. I am not sure how old the paddle is but it has aged beautifully. The paddle is solid and does not appear to have any weakness at any point. This paddle will be great for cabin or nautical theme decor. The paddle is 59” long and 6 1/4” wide at the paddle. It does show that it has been used at the paddle end as though it was used in shallow water. Very Nice piece. Please review all pictures as they are a large part of the description.
