Vintage Ideal Shirley Temple Doll 18” Poor Little Rich Girl “Loop Dress” circa 1930s. Tagged w/Pin.  She is one of many from my 30+ years of collecting Shirley Temple memorabilia.
This is a beautiful Shirley. Her composition is in good condition but she does have crazing throughout.  She has a small crack on her inner thigh, a larger crack behind her right ear and a serious one on the heel of her foot.  None of them show when on display and they have not gotten any worse over the years.
Her hair is thick, full and curly, but it could use a combing.  She has beautiful, clear sleep eyes and thick eyelashes. Her stringing is good and she stands perfectly on the stand (which is included).
Shirley wears the “Loop Dress” from the 1935 movie Poor Little Rich Girl.  Remnants of the Ideal Tag can be seen in the back.   It is crisp and beautiful, perfectly pleated and doesn’t appear to have ever been washed.  It is slightly faded, and the collar is dirty.  It has the typical 2-button closure in the back.  You can also see the remnants of the size tag on the inside.  Her onesie is perfect, no rips or tears and has the typical safety pin closure.  Her shoes are very nice, newer versions of the original.
She wears her original Ideal Shirley Temple Pin, which can be authenticated by the markings around the rim “Ideal Novelty & Toy Co” on the top, “Her Signature” on the bottom below her name and “Made in U.S.A” on the side.
She has been kept in a display case in my smoke-free home for many, many years. I am downsizing so it is time for her to go to a new home to be loved as I have loved her. She is fully marked on her head and torso.
