OLD VINTAGE 1930s 1935? IDEAL 18" COMPOSITION SHIRLEY TEMPLE DOLL MARKED "Cop""

Description

Offered here is a vintage composition Shirley Temple doll. She measures approx. 18 inches tall. The back of her head is embossed: "SHIRLEY TEMPLE Cop IDEAL N&T Co." I read that during the FIRST year of production, (around 1934 or 1935) these dolls were marked "Cop", which stands for "Copyright Pending." Her back shoulders are marked: "SHIRLEY TEMPLE...18." She has "sleep eyes" that open & close. She has realistic looking teeth. I would say her condition is GOOD, but please read the full description, see the photos, and make your OWN grade. SHE HAS NO CLOTHES. Her hair is "mussed" and has possibly been cut some? Her stringing is very loose. She has a few cracks, that don't seem to go much deeper than the surface paint. The largest of these is on her upper / inner thigh. (Shown in close-up above.) Her eyes are "cloudy" - I'm not sure, you MAY be able to clean the eyes? The GOOD news, is that she appears to be a good candidate for restoration. All her fingers are present, and there does not appear to be any serious damage. She is guaranteed to be old & original - made in the mid 1930's - or your money back.
