The MDC Ultimate Intelligent Stirrup Irons are designed so that you can position your stirrups where YOU want them - customize your stirrups to the setting that best suits you, your horse, and your riding application The preset angles improve leg, calf and foot position, relieve pressure on hips, knees and ankles, and reduce pinching and leg burns. The MDC Intelligent Stirrups are easily to retrieve, making your performance more precise and safer, while the open stirrup angles reduces the danger of being hung up and injured.
MDC Intelligent Stirrups Irons work with your body, not against it. The MDC Intelligent Stirrups are more comfortable because they come to you and not you to them. You can adjust the preset angles to match your specific body needs to promote greater harmony with your body alignment. Anyone with stiffness or previous injuries will immediately feel this release of pressure on their joints. 45 Degrees seems to be the preferable preset angle for Show Jumpers and Event Riders; at 45 degrees the rider will instantly notice that the leather is applying the pressure across their shin as a normal stirrup. 90 Degrees seems to be the preferable preset for Dressage, Endurance, and Trail Riders as well as general flat riding applications; presetting the irons at 90 degrees results in no leather pressure across the shin and leaves the iron completely open for retrieval.
Note: The MDC Intelligent Stirrups will perform at their best when partnered with a new pair of leathers (old leathers have a slight turn to them and this will affect the accuracy of the 45 degree and 90 degree settings). The MDC Ultimate Stirrup is hinged for additional shock absorption and ankle flexibility.
