The MDC Ultimate Intelligent Stirrup Irons with flexible branches are designed so that you can position your stirrups where YOU want them. MDC Irons let you customize your stirrups to the setting that best suits you, your horse, and your riding needs. The preset angles improve leg, calf, and foot position, relieve pressure on hip, knee and ankle joints, and reduce pinching and leg burns.
The MDC Intelligent Stirrups are easy to pick up with your foot, making your performance safer and more precise. The open stirrup angles greatly reduce the danger of being hung up and seriously injured. MDC Intelligent Stirrups Irons work with your body, not against it.
The MDC Intelligent Stirrups are more comfortable because these stirrups come to you and not you to them. You can adjust the preset angles to match your specific needs to promote greater harmony with your body alignment. Anyone with stiffness or previous injuries will immediately feel this release of pressure on their joints. The 45 degree setting is often the preferred angle for show jumpers and eventers.
At 45 degrees the rider will notice that the leather is applying pressure across their shin as a normal stirrup. The 90 degree angle works well for dressage, endurance, and trail riders as well as general flat riding. Setting the irons at 90 degrees results in no leather pressure across the shin and leaves the iron completely open for retrieval. The flexible jointed MDC Ultimate Intelligent Irons are ideally suited for jumping disciplines.
Note: The MDC Intelligent Stirrups will perform at their best when partnered with a new pair of leathers (old leathers have a slight turn to them and this will affect the accuracy of the 45 degree and 90 degree settings). The MDC Ultimate Stirrup is hinged for additional shock absorption and ankle flexibility.
