    Description

    Film camera 16 mm, Pentazet 16 A slow motion camera equipment, rarity, VEB Kino und Kamerawerk Dresden
    I am offering extensive equipment for the Pentazet 16 A slow motion camera for sale. The camera was manufactured by VEB Pentacon Camera and Kinowerk Dresden (VEB Zeiss Ikon successor). The Pentazet 16 A was probably built until 1968.
    The camera is designed for 16 mm film and for recording speeds of 500 to 5000 frames per second. For this purpose, the images are transferred from the optics to the film via a rotating mirror ring.
    Slow motion cameras are among the rarest film cameras ever and are rarely offered, especially in this good quality and with so many accessories.
    The camera offered here is equipped with both associated lenses (1: 2.8 35 mm and 1: 2.8 125 mm) and the corresponding attachments.
    The speed is controlled by exchangeable gear wheels. The gears are over complete.
    Control box with various cables and time stamp generator (tube devices are also included, although I don't know exactly whether all the necessary cables are included. The camera is, as it has not been tested, sold expressly as a collector's camera with no guarantee of functions!
    The accompanying tripod is awesome! A huge "ball head" carries the heavy camera. The Stariv is extendable and the optical axis is adjustable from 1.20 to 1.90 m in height.
    The tripod alone has been falsely offered on ebay as a Berlebach tripod for more than 1400 ? (mind you, only the tripod!)
    Two circuit diagrams on less well-preserved paper are still legible.
    The equipment and lenses are in good cosmetic condition. The rod for tilting the tripod head is also included, but is a bit too thin, could it be from a different tripod head or do you need an adapter?
    The device was last in use, probably decades ago, for scientific purposes at the Technical University "OTTO von Guericke" in Magdeburg.
    Overall, a great museum collector's item for an upscale collection or museum. I think the pictures speak for themselves.
    The equipment is extensive and heavy. The two boxes have the following dimensions (approx.):
    73.0 cm x 45.5 cm x 30.0 cm;
    40.0 cm x 34.5 cm x 27.5 cm.
    The tripod is about four feet long when pushed together.
    Happy bidding!
