    Description

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:  This item will be taken permanently out of sale in July 2021 due to the eBay's changed payments management policy which mandates all the sellers sending eBay very sensitive personal information, including full ID card copies in image form. Due to the huge identity theft risk, these terms are impossible to accept, so the only possibility for me is to stop all selling activities on eBay.
The same product may possibly be sold later via other channels. The product name and brand name will be the same, so Google should be able to find them easily.
Thank you for your understanding and happy Summer for everybody!

This 6-Speed Crystal Board is designed to be used as a stable and accurate speed reference for movie cameras. The board generates a very stable frequency signal which the camera's motor control electronics uses as a speed reference to compare the motor speed against so that the motor control system knows how much the motor speed deviates from the target and can then make adjustments to it to match the motor speed to the Crystal reference.
This board is meant to be used in cameras which use 10 tachometer encoder pulses per one frame shot by the camera, which is why the output frequencies of the board are 10 times the frame rate presets of the camera:  125Hz (12.5fps) , 160Hz (16fps) , 240Hz (24fps) , 250Hz (25fps) , 320Hz (32fps) and 500Hz (50fps).
Frequency stability and accuracy is typically from 40 to 150ppm in room temperature depending on the output frequency and the board is meant for continuous operation.
A perfect item if you are building your own Crystal Sync movie camera or just needing an accurate Crystal frequency generator for other uses.
The board outputs all the 6 different frequencies simultaneously and there is an additional simultaneous 32kHz output as well to be used for analog high speed PWM circuits or ultrasonic applications.
New Old Stock product which was checked and calibrated by the manufacturer recently.
Includes the original printed manual and the original 1-year limited warranty (warranty does not cover shipping costs or mechanical damage. see the user manual for warranty info).
Shipping only via UPS Express Saver due to the current international situation (normal mail services are unreliable at the moment and delivery via them cannot be guaranteed) .
    Circuit board dimensions:
    84mm x 48mm
Thickness of the Crystal Board including the components and connectors: about 10mm
    Mounting holes:
maximum M3 screws allowed. Mounting hole centers distance is 73.66 x 38.10mm.
    Operating temperature range:
From -5°C to +45°C non-condensing allowed. You may experience a very slight frequency shift if the operating temperature deviates from the room temperature (20°C) .
It is possible to use this Crystal Board in lower temperatures but they are not tested by the Manufacturer and may not be covered by the Warranty.
    Mechanical stresses allowed:
No bending of the Board allowed. No scratches, punches or other surface damage. No dropping or heavy vibrations.
No abrasive substances, corrosive chemicals, water, solvents or heavy dust buildup.
    Input voltage:
Normal: from 8 volts to 25 volts allowed.
Typical in most uses: from 8 to 24 volts.
    Frequency Outputs:
Square wave at the specified frequency.
About 50% duty cycle (typically from 50.0% to 54.0%)
Square wave peak voltage is about 5 volts dc.
Typical from 4.7 volts to 5.1 volts.
Maximum output current limited to about 20mA per output.
Typical max current is 10 to 15 mA per output.
    Frequencies :
    32kHz (32 000 Hz)
    125 Hz
(This may be marked on the board as “120Hz” due to a printing error on the V1.0 of the Crystal Board)
    160 Hz
    240 Hz
    250 Hz
    320 Hz
    500 Hz
    Frequency accuracy and stability :
typically from 40ppm to 150ppm depending on the output frequency and environmental conditions.
Typical accuracy for 240Hz output: from 40ppm to 70ppm at 20°C.
Typical accuracy for other outputs: from 100 to 150ppm at 20°C.
Lower or higher operating temperature may cause a slight temporary frequency shift from the design specs.
This is normal and the frequency will return back within the specs when the temperature is restored to 20°C.
