4 Prize Bamboo Cups Western Airlines Islander Theater Captains Sweepstake
An unusual pair of items from A Western Airlines  DC-10 Flight to Hawaii. A 6 panel fold out brochure, Western Airlines Islander Theatre, which contains the Concert Stereo Program of music on the flight. It also contains a page on How to Play the Captain's Halfway Sweepstakes aboard the Islander. The person who guessed the closest to the elapsed time it took to reach the halfway point on the flight, won a prize. The flyer filled in a part of the page and submitted it to the flight crew. This folder has had the entry form removed. Also in this lot is the Prize for guessing the closest the actual time to the halfway point. The prize was a set of 4 decorated bamboo cups in a red box with the Western Airlines First Prize in the Captain's Halfway Sweepstakes sticker on it. The cups are in like new condition, but have age cracks in them.
