    Description

    Rare late 19th century English ship diorama that has been converted for use as a coffee table.  Coming directly from an estate where it has been for many years.  The leg portion were probably custom made for the diorama.
    The ship is British Merchant vessel "Minnetta."  Was unable to find much information.  Two smaller model ships and some painted vessels in the background.
    Would look amazing in a New England beach cottage used as a coffee table.
    The legs of the coffee table can be removed if you wanted to mount this piece to the wall as strictly a Diorama.  I believe the frame around the glass is the same age as the legs.  The diorama can be dated with the cut nails used in construction.
    Condition:  General wear from use, yet overall good condition.  Stable and solid.  There is various damage to the ship, such as broken lines, etc., which is common on these. Some of the pieces came loose over time and some more may come loose.  Overall the look is very attractive with patina from age.
