Description
This 4" diameter circular paper decal is from the 1940 presidential campaign when Franklin Roosevelt was running for a third term with Henry Wallace, a firm supporter of farmers, as his running mate. This is new old stock. The front of the decal features an ear of corn in the center. The reverse side touts the fact that 80% of Congressional Democrats supported farm laws as opposed to only 20% of Republicans. The decal has union labels on both front and back. It was printed by the Fred J. Ringley Co. of Chicago. Any flaws that you might see on the decal, such as a little white spot within the blue band or the misalignment of the red and blue bands coming together, are manufacturing flaws. What might look like a stain to the left of the ear of corn is actually the printing on the back of the decal showing through.
