1930s Vintage 22" IDEAL Shirley Temple Composition in TAGGED Swiss Dotted Dancing Dress w Button
Shirley stands 22 inches tall and is marked
SHIRLEY TEMPLE
on the back of her neck.  Her back is marked
SHIRLEY TEMPLE 22
.
The dress tag reads "
Genuine Shirley Temple Doll
," has no logo,
and was found inside the dress at the waist in the back.
The button found on the dress appears shiny so I think it is a nice reproduction of an original.
Shirley wears a fun white dress with red polka dots and red ribbons.  This is the swiss dotted version of the "Dancing Dress" which you can see on
page 32
of T

Seems a previous owner may have reattached the red ribbons (or replacement ribbons?) from the appearance of the stitching seen inside the dress.  There is a tiny bit of red color cast in the front of the dress from the ribbons (see image).  And under the left arm there is a bit of open seam.
She has on her one piece lace trimmed undergarment combination slip and panty (onesie). The onesie seems to be in nice condition.
Shirley has a sweet flirty smile with dimples and 6 upper teeth.  Her mohair wig has a red ribbon wrapped about her head that's tied at the top. Her soft curls, though a bit mussed, appear to be her original curl set.
She has very light crazing.  I did not remove her shoes to check her toes because I wasn't sure about the strength of the shoe strap so I have left her shoes and socks on her feet as I found them. Her rayon socks are folded down nicely and her oil cloth shoes have front snaps and their full soles with a little bit of wear at the toes where it might be opening (see images).
I needed a doll stand for her as her leg cords are a little loose.  Her arms have tighter cording and she was able to pose her arms for the photos.
I have photographed her just as I found her.  Her history of repair or past environments is unknown.
I haven't noticed any offensive odors.
My home is smoke free, but I do not know the doll's previous home environment.  She has been in my home for a brief stay only.
** Item is NOT mint but shows evidence of being loved. I have tried to photograph her from all sides with her wardrobe and without.  I'm only allowed 12 photos on Ebay.

I have mentioned flaws that I have noticed but I'm not an expert so there may be others.  Ask questions about what's important to you that I did not show in photos or mention in the description.  I will answer if I can. I don't guarantee that I will know but I try.

SHIPPING
Doll is packaged very carefully.  She is wrapped in tissue paper before and then bubble wrap.  Bubble wrap will be lightly sealed with scotch tape so that you do NOT have to use scissors to unwrap the doll. I then use packing peanuts all around the doll to cushion & secure her within the box.
The buyer's name MUST be the name on the shipping label.  -

"in care of" type of labels using
C/O or CO).  If a name appears on the address different than the name of the buyer, I may cancel the order.
