    Description

    Original campaign ribbon from the S.J. Tilden and T.A. Hendricks election for President in 1876.  Rutherford B. Hayes was the eventual winner.  Tilden was Governor of New York while Hendricks was Governor of Indiana.  Ribbon is well worn as shown.  Measures 2.75" X 5.5."  We have handled the piece without any further damage.  We assume all the holes are moth damage.  This is a scarce piece of American political history.
